About Us
The VISSOL division of xTreme Technologies started in 2010 by Danielle M. Villegas originally as part of her graduate work in technical communications. As the mother of a high-functioning autistic child, she understood the value of bringing new technologies to special needs kids to help with various skill learning. As she developed her e-portfolio for her graduate work, she concentrated on web-based training and saw that web-based training was a great way to include autistic and ADHD children in an interactive way that could be fun while still teaching a curriculum. With the advent of tablet and smartphone technology, ready accessibility became key to developing software that would teach social skills to autistic children in an affordable way. As a result of several years of development in coordination with special needs educators and therapists, parents and children, VISSOL is the pioneer in online social skills modeling curriculum.
